Q. How long have you been at Griffin Mill?
A. I'm in my 3rd year and very happy with it too!

Q. What did you do before that?
A. I ran a number of Peugeot and Citroen dealerships for Dutton Forshaw / Lookers. I was with them for 12 years.

Q. How’s the job?
A. It’s a big challenge! Keeping all the balls in the air with the five brands we represent, it really keeps you on your toes. None the less, the job is hugely rewarding and I love the challenge.

Q. Favourite part of the job?
A. I know it sounds cheesy but it’s the people I work with. We have an amazing team at Griffin Mill, with a fantastic work ethic and a culture that really makes Griffin Mill the huge success it is. In fear of sounding even more cliché and cheesy, there is nowhere quite like it.

Q. Biggest challenge you’ve faced?
A. Personally. Beating Cancer a few years ago was the biggest challenge I've ever faced and hopefully ever have too.

Business-wise. Changing a number of the structures to bring together one of the most successful and focused teams in the business.

Q. What’s it like working at Basecamp?
A. My office is at Summit but I'd much prefer one at our new Basecamp showrooms though. Nothing at all to do with the hot weather and the wonderful air conditioning they have down there!!

Q. What are you looking forward to over the next few months?
A. The new 63 plate is out in September and we’re planning to be busier than ever. Hopefully we’ll break even more records! Most of all though I’m looking forward to a rest at the end of it all!

Q. What do you like about working with all the brands you represent?
A. The variety... So many new models coming out, it’s difficult to keep up sometimes! With five brands in one (ish) location, why would customers want to go anywhere else :)

Q. Any advice for someone starting out in the industry?
A. I always look for a couple of key points when trying to find someone new for our team. Without doubt, I believe the right work ethic and attitude are the hardest things to find in a candidate. If someone has a genuine willingness to succeed, we can train and coach them with the skills needed to great, but without the right work ethic and attitude they will undoubtedly fail. At least they will at Griffin Mill...

Quick Fire Round

Favourite place in the world? Relaxing on the hammock in my garden.
What makes you happy? Spending time with my family.
Football or Rugby? Umm... Dominoes!! Not the pizza place. Well actually :)
Basecamp or Summit? Basecamp... Aircon!! :)
What is your most interesting fact? I used to be part of a Full Monty dance troop!
What is your party trick? When I’ve had enough to drink I become completely invisible and can do anything I want without being noticed! I know. It’s amazing, works every time!
