Griffin Mill staff spent an action packed two days at the Big Cheese last weekend, 24th – 25th July, displaying a selection of our vehicles to the thousands of people who attended the annual free event in Caerphilly.
We were certainly kept busy at the Griffin Mill stand as mums and dads were invited to view a range of cars from our Peugeot, Kia and Fiat franchises (with the stunning new RCZ attracting a lot of attention) and encouraged to book test-drives or visit our showrooms at Upper Boat, near Pontypridd. Meanwhile, the younger generation were offered goodie bags and the chance to meet Benson the Peugeot lion. All comers had the chance to enter our free competition draws with the chance to win some amazing prizes.
Taking place under the shadow of the imposing Caerphilly castle, one of the largest in Europe, the Big Cheese is now a major highlight of Wales’ summer events calendar. A big hit with visitors of all ages, around 70’000 – 80’000 were expected to make their way to the festival this year. Entertainments on offer included re-enactment displays, musical entertainment, educational activities, food halls, craft stalls, the activity marquee, a traditional funfair and much more besides.
Blessed by better weather than expected and another superb turnout, everybody from Griffin Mill had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. After some excellent feedback we are eager to welcome those who will be coming to see us and already looking forward to next year’s Big Cheese.
